Weaving, Photos & Digital Art

Hey there! I hope the month of July is treating you well so far. I have been busy working on new stuff for my shop and will share those with you at the end of this post. But lately I have been wanting to step back and do some personal things for myself. I mean my shop is personal, but things outside the business end of it. Weaving has been something I have been interested in learning and decided the other day to jumped right in. Here are some pictures of my very first weaving journey.

I made the small loom.

First couple of rows.

Some more rows and tassels. The two greenish golden colored rows are wool. You can use different things besides yarn, I'm going to incorporate some fabric, feathers and sticks in other ones.

And the finished piece. It's a small one, measuring about 4 x 7 1/2 inches including the longest tassel.
I will admit at times it was very frustrating and had to remove some rows due to mistakes, but in the end I want to do and learn more. That's a good sign! The next one will be larger and will be making a bigger loom for that.

Next up are some random photos.

Lincoln is getting so much bigger.

 Double exposure.

New Digital Art

Hey everyone! Wow can't believe it's the last day of June already! Hope you guys are well.

I have some new work to show you. These are all digital art pieces that are available in my Etsy shop as instant downloads. Purchase, download and print! They are sized at 8x10 inches but one can resize them to fit their needs. Like making a smaller print or putting the image on a greeting card. My plan with the digital downloads is to make coloring pages, cards, bookmarks and calendars. For the calendars I'm going to probably start off doing individual months since we are halfway through the year and then will put out a 12 month calendar for 2016 in the fall sometime. So many ideas!

I went back to my old logo with the crows. Added a third crow, cleaned it up a little and changed the font. I liked the previous logo but the crows are a little more personal to me.

The original. There are a few different versions of this one but seem to not be able to find them.

Previous one.

The current new one.

What do you think?

Ok that's it for now. See you in July.

They Got Pink Cheeks

Today I'm sharing some new Aceos with you. Wanted to keep the colors to a minimum with a pop of pink color on their cheeks. They are done with pencil, colored pencils, watercolor and ink on toned gray paper 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.

It's chilly here this morning. Feels like a fall day not spring.

Enjoy your day.

Journals

Happy Sunday! Here are two wood accordion journals that I made.

Blue victorian wood accordion journal 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.

Little chunky brown, yellow and green retro wood accordion journal 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches.

I have more to share, just have to take photos of them.

Have a great day!

Almost....

It's been ALMOST 6 months from my last post. Wow....where has the time gone?!?!

Well, the boys are graduating in June. Can't believe it. It's going to be so strange not having them in school. No school shopping, homework, tests, no phone calls from the school saying there's a delay or closing for bad weather. It's hard for me to wrap my mind around it since we have done it for so long. Going to miss those days, but look forward to the next chapter in their/our lives.

We got a new furry addition to the family. He basically well just happened. My husband told me about some Dachshund puppies that were available and we just went with it. We always said since our other two passed away we would love to have another one someday. Some of the photos are when we first got him. Meet Lincoln.

It took Pedro & Lobo a few days to warm up to him but now the three of them get along very well.

Pedro's head in under the blanket.

I have been working on getting my Etsy shop going again. I had some items on and off in there but those all have expired, might relist them sometime though. My focus at the moment is instant downloads of my art. You purchase, download the file and print them. A piece of art could be hanging in your home within minutes! These are sized to print at 8 x 10 inches but you can resize them smaller to fit your needs. Will be expanding on printable cards, coloring pages, bookmarks and possibly clip art. Check them out below.

"All The Pink Pines"

"Red Dachshund"

"Red Dachshund With Flowers

"Fly"

"Four Flowers"

"Ocean Life"

"Something"

So I guess that's it for now.

Have a great day or night.
