Oona and Toad and Halloween

These two characters kind of popped into my head recently so I'm going with it. Read below for the start of their story. I'm planning on doing more with them in an Aceo series.

#1

This is Oona and her crow friend Toad. Oona is one of those quiet types. Her favorite foods are broccoli and ice cream….together. She likes to read anything that she can get her hands on and anywhere. You will often find her in the bathroom reading the phone book. Another thing that she likes to do is ballet and is very good at it even though she never took a lesson. Her tutu is pretty neat. Toad is her companion that she came upon one day as she was trying desperately to save a magazine that was blowing away in a fierce wind. It was a special edition magazine with lots of extra words in it. The rescue was a success but out of the corner of her eye she saw a crow hopping around. At first she thought it was wounded but it turned out that even though the crow could fly it preferred to hop instead. So Oona named him Toad because he reminded her of a toad hopping around. Toad is very fond of his name and loves to hang around with Oona. He likes to pretend that she is a damsel in distress and protects her. Maybe he will protect her from the broccoli and ice cream.

"Best Seat"  #2

Toad thinks sitting on Oona's head is the best seat.

"Um Toad you're messing up my hair."

Now for the Halloween part.

Oh I love Halloween.
